Palace of Versailles and the Trianon Palace Museum The Palace of Versailles and its gardens, once the residence of the French king, have always been shining pearl in the world’s cultural heritage and they are also the most beautiful works of French art in the 17th century. Versailles Palace was Louis XIII’s hunting palace, after its expansion by its son Louis XIV reconstruction. The latter moved the palace and government of that time to Versailles in 1682. Until the French Revolution, the kings lived there. Each generation of monarchs are building blocks for Versailles Palace, one after another to create a mirror Gallery, King Suite, the French History Museum and many other classic places. For centuries, Versailles has never stopped the pace of development. (Photo / Chen Lusheng)
