关心国外文艺思潮和现代电影的人们都知道,法国是现代主义搞得最为活跃也是最为五花八门的国家之一.让—吕克·戈达尔,玛格丽特·杜拉、阿仑·雷乃等人更是举世公认的电影中现代派的重要代表人物。这次前去巴黎,我很希望能在这方面多得一点“感性知识”,更想得知这些人的创作现状。遗憾的是,由于种种原因,这一愿望只得到部分实现。在前面提到的法国外交部那次招待会上,我曾向那位司长请教:象戈达尔这些现代派代表人物的创作现状,他究竟有何看法?他的回答使我大吃一惊:“戈达尔?依我看来,最能保持法国传统的就算是他了。”我以为,我的耳朵失灵了;再不,就是那位司长毕竟是个官员,对电影问题不大在行。殊不知后来我又向法国电影资料馆馆长里欧—贝鲁先生请教时,所得到的竟是一模一样的答复! 就这样,带着困惑莫解的心情,我看了戈达尔的
