This article attempts to make a preliminary review of the inter-cultural global history of modern historiography compiled since the 18th century. The basic theme is the interaction between western and non-western historiography. Western historiography exerted an important influence on all non-Western historiography in this period, including the increasingly specialization of historiography and the shift of the rise and decline of the dynasty to the history of the nation-state. However, in the face of the Western concept, non-Western traditional historiography is not blindly accepted in all its aspects, but carries out different forms of transformation on the existing tradition. This book not only sorts out the history of Western history from the 21st century to the 21st century, but also covers non-Western literary ideas and practices, especially in East Asia (China, Japan, North Korea and Vietnam), India, the Muslim world (Arab countries, Turkey and Persia) And the sub-Saharan African region in the second half of the twentieth century. At last, the author investigates the current situation of the study of history, and evaluates the criticism from the perspectives of postmodernism and postcolonial theory on the rational inquiry standards prevailing in the West and non-West over the past two centuries. He also points out that historians We must adhere to the above criteria, but also recognize its limitations.
