Kipling was the first British writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. His “Black Sheep” and “The Adventures of the Jungle” have attracted many readers as children’s literature, and the frequent emergence of the consciousness of resistance and revenge also shows the process of “characterizing” the characters in the works. The unfortunate experience of the protagonist in The Black Sheep is a portrait of Kipling’s own childhood experience. His unfortunate childhood experience has a profound impact on his literary creation. Therefore, it is also necessary to interpret the frequently-appearing consciousness of resistance and vengeance in his works.
