For a long time, the “ThreeKingdom Culture” has had a profound and far-reaching influence on the people and social life of Sichuan. There a lot of ruins and art facts from the Three Kingdoms era, they are evident in many places in the province. The most well-known, in Chengdu, are Wuhou Temple, Wanli Bridge and Jiuli Dam. Stories of the Three Kingdoms are still told among the people of Sichuan, such as“The Legend of the Tomb of Liubei” “The Handkerchief Twined on the Head of the People of Sichuan”. Plays of the Three Kingdoms are part of the large number that are used in Sichuan opera. About 160 of the extant plays are still performed on stage. The innuence of the Three Kingdoms is also evident in the personality of the Sichuaness who are usually brave, trustworthy, humorous and quickwitted. They value friendship and have great endurance. These characteristics may be owe much to the edifying influence of the ThreesKingdom culture.
