教育部2001年颁布的《幼儿园教育指导纲要(试行)》中明确规定:“可以相对划分为健康、语言、社会、科学、艺术等五个领域。”在这五个领域中,艺术属于美育的范畴。《纲要》关于艺术领域的“目标”要求让幼儿“初步感受并喜爱环境、生活和艺术中的美”;在“内容与要求”上规定,要“引导幼儿接触周围环境和生活中美好的人、事、物,丰富他们的感性经验和审美情趣,激发他们表现美、创造美的情趣。”所以美育不仅可以陶冶情操,启迪智慧,而且给人以高雅的情趣和艺术的熏陶。
