为了适应全彩LED驱动芯片的需要,采用CSMC 0.5μm标准工艺,设计了一种用于LED驱动芯片的新型CMOS环形振荡器。电路使用正负温度特性补偿、延时迟滞以及时钟同步技术。在电源电压为3~6V、温度范围为-45℃~100℃,以及不同的工艺角下,利用Cadence平台下的Spectre进行验证,结果表明:在一定的电压、温度范围内,振荡器的输出频率为16MHz,最大变化范围为±5%;在不同工艺角模型下,振荡器输出频率均在LED驱动芯片的解码允许误差范围之内。该振荡器已成功应用于一款LED驱动芯片。
In order to meet the needs of full-color LED driver chips, a new type of CMOS ring oscillator for LED driver chips is designed using the CSMC 0.5μm standard process. The circuit uses positive and negative temperature characteristics compensation, delay hysteresis and clock synchronization technology. Under the voltage of 3 ~ 6V, the temperature range of -45 ℃ ~ 100 ℃, and the different process angles, the Spectre under Cadence platform is used to verify the results. The results show that the output of the oscillator is within a certain voltage and temperature range, The frequency is 16MHz and the maximum variation range is ± 5%. Under different process angle models, the output frequency of the oscillator is within the allowable decoding error range of the LED driver chip. The oscillator has been successfully applied to a LED driver chip.
