该机为适应北京地区畦宽7.5尺间作套种而研制的。于一九七五年十一月,在北京市农机局主持下,通过鉴定会,初步定型,投入小批量生产。鉴定认为:该机具有结构紧凑、体积小、重量轻、性能好和操作灵活等优点,适于北京市和华北地区人民公社和国营农场使用。一般构造和工作过程该机主要收获小麦、大麦和燕麦等谷物,一次可完成收、脱、分、选等作业。喂入量为2.5～3公斤/秒。每小时可收割亩产400～600斤的小麦10～15亩。工作部件和行走机构由4100型60马力的柴油机驱动。
