Glory, Has passed away, Yet,thy graceful mien, Beautiful,as before What does Rimu come from? Rimu is a Tibetan word,meaning “drawing” or “painting”.It is said that long,long ago,there was a cowherd slave named Aga.He was bright and hardworking.One day,after it had been raining,he saw a beautiful fairy dancing in a tent on the rainbow.He couldn’t help falling in love with the fairy and ran after her,but the fairy retreated further and further away with the rainbow until she vanished in the distance.Aga returned disappointedly to his shed,but he couldn’t forget that vision.The scene remained etched on his mind and he tried repeatedly to depict her on a stone again and again, and finally succeeded in making a portrait of the fairy that he placed beside his pillow as a companion.Another day,one of his friends called on him
