For the precision lead screw pitch measurement, in our country at present some precision machine tool factory measurement area is still a problem to be solved. Mainly due to lead screw pitch tolerance requirements in 0.001 mm units, on the other hand because of the longer length, in the general precision instruments can not be placed on the measurement. In some foreign precision machine tool manufacturing plants and research institutes are more equipped with precision lead screw pitch inspection of special equipment, but at present our country some precision machine tool manufacturers do not have such equipment, so feel the measurement difficulties. Recently, in order to meet the needs of the Great Leap Forward in the machinery industry, we studied the method of measuring the helical pitch on a universal screw using a precision screw rod whose effective part is within 1m of the thread.
