How much is the design of the support clearance slope appropriate? There has long been a different perspective. Oral orthopedics (1980) and Ernest et al., Edited by Sichuan Medical College, believe that the occlusion gap should be perpendicular to the long axis of the tooth (ie, the angle of the occlusal support gap is 0 degrees); Stewart et al. , (Occlusion) support the bottom of the gap should be perpendicular to the long axis of the abutment or slightly to the center of the occlusal surface, forming a slope of less than 90 ° (occlusal) support gap slope less than 0 degrees); and Zhu Xitao pointed out that the abutment of the occlusal base should have a slope of about 20 ° with the perpendicular to the long axis of the abutment. This paper intends to theoretically calculate the (occlusal) support gap slope size, and explore its clinical significance.
