作者复习了1980到1989间在Beilison医学中心的器官移植科所有进行肾脏移植的病人的资料:病人总数430名,其中的五名(1.16%)在术后十天到四周内发生急性树枝状角膜炎,年龄为36～42岁。所有的病人在肾脏移植后立即进行三联治疗:每日强的松2mg/Kg,硫唑嘌呤2.5～3.0mg/Kg,环孢霉素A3～5mg/Kg,在术后的一个月内类固醇治疗渐减少为20mg/日,其它两种药物的剂量不变,随后环孢霉素A的血药浓度被控制在140～200mg/ml。这些病人不作免疫学和自然杀伤细胞活力的常规检查。需强调的是这些病人没有接受无环鸟昔的预防性全身性治疗。没有一位病人能回忆出过去有角膜或眼睑的疱疹
