2001年3月下旬,全国报纸广告工作会议在北京召开。这是近几年来报业方面的又一次重要业务会议。全国各地的主要报纸的广告部负责人参加了会议。大家分别就报业竞争、报业市场、报业发展、报业经营等话题展开了讨论。与会期间,本报记者就有关话题对部分代表进行了采访。办让老百姓爱看的报纸《楚天都市报》广告部主任张勤耘:《楚天都市报》1997年1月1日创刊,在武汉市首创自办发行,定位为市民服务。这几年发展非常快,借鉴其他报纸的经验,制定了经营策略:三位一体,以报纸质量为根本,以发行为关键,以此带来广告的大突破,然后以广告的大突破反哺报务的发展。
