New Measures for Promoting the Utilization of Foreign Investment by China’s Coal Industry Recently, a chief official of China’s Ministry of Coal Industry disclosed recently that the Ministry of Coal Industry has recently formulated a new policy on the utilization of foreign investment in the coal industry. Foreign-invested coal projects enjoy more favorable policies. The senior official said that in approving foreign capital projects, the coal ministry and local government authorities have further expanded their authority to approve projects with a total investment of less than 10 million U.S. dollars.
