十二指肠球炎(简称球炎)是青壮年的一种常见病。据统计,接受胃镜检查者约2～20%患有本病。自纤维胃镜应用于临床以来,本病受到普遍重视,认为它是一种独立存在的疾病。现将球炎的基本知识简要介绍如下。一、病因球炎的病因还不太清楚,以下因素可能与本病的发生有关:中枢神经功能活动失调影响十二指肠功能;有吸烟、饮洒和嗜好刺激性食物的习惯;长期服用刺激性药物;暴饮暴食,口腔、咽部慢性感染灶及细菌、毒素长期刺激胃肠道;能够引起慢性胃炎的其他因素等。
