在上一期《编辑学刊》上,我写了对两位编辑前辈的回忆,交稿后,又觉意犹未尽,所以这里再作些补充。仍从梅朵谈起。梅朵在给作者打电话催稿,或催着编辑部里的部下去写他指定的题材时,说得最多的一句话,往往是:“你行的,你行的,你把它写出来,抓紧写!”当然他不是随便说这话,他考虑请谁写什么题目,常常是煞费苦心的;而万一真的写得不好,他退稿时也是心狠手辣的。但他非常注意鼓励人,总是尽力把人往上推。而一旦发现了好作品、好作者,他是决不放
