I. Rural Schools and Rural Education During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, American rural schools provided each classroom with a classroom for girls from 5 to 18 years of age. The responsibility of the teacher includes enabling students to graduate to a level that is equivalent to today’s K-8. The institutions and conditions of schools are also very different. The teacher, and especially the 19th century teacher, is usually younger than her biggest student, and her qualifications depend on her high school diploma. Later, in order to standardize rural schools, teachers must go to the Rural Teachers College or go to normal schools for higher education training.
