There are a variety of materials used for non-surgical intracoronal repair of root bifurcation, but none of them exactly meets the criteria for ideal repair material. The new calcium phosphate cement (CPC), developed by the Paffenbarger Research Center of the US Dental Health Foundation, has a composition and structure similar to teeth and bone after curing, has good biocompatibility, and has osteoconductivity.
