层序地层学作为一种地学理论已在地质学界得到广泛承认。运用包括高分辨率层序地层学在内的层序地层学 ,能使人们不用加密井位控制就能从地质角度对储层单元获得更真实的描述。以层序地层学理论为基础建立的层序地层格架 ,不仅能较准确的预测层序地层格架内的岩性与岩相展布特征及生、储、盖层的分布规律 ,而且能为油藏模拟提供最真实、可靠的地质模型。因此 ,在油藏模拟特别是在油藏早期评价阶段的数值模拟过程中 ,层序地层学是建立真实、准确、客观的地质及岩石物理模型的一种重要方法和手段 ,同时也为油藏模拟工作带来了许多新思路和新方法。
