拉丝痕迹是古人在制作玉器时,为完成特定工艺要求,在玉器加工过程中,在玉器成品上留下的一种特殊的工艺痕迹。拉丝痕迹一般都产生在片状玉器上。主要是为了满足其艺术要求,去除部分玉料以实现玉器的艺术造型和装饰花纹的一种玉器加工工艺方法,统称为透花、镂雕。在古玉辨伪过程中,拉丝痕迹的确认有着重要的作用。可以说有无拉丝痕迹在古玉辨伪过程中是一个必要条件。有拉丝痕迹的不一定是真古玉,但没有拉丝痕迹的且有规律性螺旋痕迹的应是现代仿品。通过观察我们可以看到,真古玉镂空处都有拉丝痕迹。然而,有拉丝痕迹的玉却不一定都是真古玉。
