INTRODUCTION This paper presents a new perspective for engineers in the planning, design, management of transport systems and the repair and replacement of aging infrastructure. It provides a demonstration of how to transport “humanized” ways to enable engineers to find ways to move people and goods smarter across cities, transnationals and even across continents. People-centric mobility directly puts people at the center of design and decision making, and by adopting this approach we can create effective resilient transport solutions that benefit both passengers and operators and build better cities and communities. 2 challenges and opportunities
