Based on small sealed-off CuBr vapor lasers, an optical imaging system with laser gated brightness amplifier has been established for the first time to our knowledge. It is demonstrated that such a system can be employed to image objects hiding behind diffused enviroment. The experiments show that the brightness clearness of the image at the exit plane of system are greatly enhanced. Analysis of the principal imaging characteristics presented.
