辽河油田地处大陆东北辽宁省内的辽河流域,是一个以石油、天然气勘探、开发为主,油气深加工、综合利用、多种经营为辅的特大型企业,有工程技术人员2万多人,固定资产100多亿元人民币。辽河油田年生产原油1500万吨、天然气17亿立方米,在大陆各石油企业中名列第三位。这个昔日碱滩片片、芦苇丛生的“南大荒”如今已是钻塔如林,井站座座,楼群栉比,道路通达,商厦宾馆等服务设施齐全的现代化石油城了。一位当年出生在辽河岸边,而今从台湾归乡探亲的台胞,站在井站旁面对家乡的沧桑之变连连感叹说:“变化太大了,变化太大了,真是了不起！”
