《西方艺术教育史》是一部讨论欧美,尤其是美国近现代学校视觉艺术教育发展和演变过程的专著,内容涉及专业艺术教育与普通学校艺术教育。上世纪九十年代翻译到中国以来,对我国的艺术教育界产生广泛影响。本文欲就影响中国当代美育发展的西方重要美术理论、思潮及社会经济文化因素探究与评析,并结合书中的重要历史脉络梳理出作为后现代解读的视觉文本。笔者相信这样的梳理和解读具有十分重要的学术意义,以期对我国视觉艺术教育有所启示。
The History of Western Art Education is a monograph discussing the development and evolution of visual arts education in Europe and the United States, especially in modern and contemporary schools in the United States, covering professional art education and ordinary school art education. Since its translation to China in the 1990s, it has had a widespread impact on the art education community in our country. This paper attempts to explore and comment on the important western art theories, trend of thoughts and socio-economic and cultural factors that influence the development of contemporary aesthetic education in our country. Combining the important historical context in the book, we can sort out the visual texts as post-modern interpretation. The author believes that such combing and interpretation have very important academic significance in order to enlighten our country’s visual arts education.
