From 1995 to June 2005, China has been the top target country in anti-dumping sanctions, taking 317 anti-dumping sanctions against China, accounting for about 18% of the global total. In the first half of this year, the global anti-dumping sanctions against China accounted for 33% of the world’s total, while China’s anti-dumping sanctions against other countries accounted for 19% of the world’s total. As a fast-rising trading nation, South Korea ranks second in the world in terms of the amount of anti-dumping it suffers. However, China’s products subject to anti-dumping investigations are at a higher risk of eventually being imposed anti-dumping duties. Anti-dumping measures against China are mainly from North and South America, the European Union and India, while China’s anti-dumping measures are mainly aimed at Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asian countries.
