Party building in higher education institutions is an important task in the development of higher education in our country and also an important component of the party building in the entire country. As the core of this work, the construction of contingent of student party members in colleges and universities has become a hot and difficult point in the work of party building in colleges and universities with its uniqueness, importance and urgency. At present, the researches on the quality of student party members in colleges and universities mostly focus on the empirical research on the status quo of college student party members or the theoretical discussion on the quality standards of college student party members. There is no effective operating mechanism for the cultivation and selection criteria of outstanding student party members in colleges and universities. Therefore, this paper applies the theory of talent competency in the selection and training of important talents in the modern enterprise human resources management practice to the training and selection of outstanding student party members in colleges and universities.
