Since 1981, the quality of mathematics in junior high schools in our county has improved year by year. Although the factors are many, but in terms of teaching itself, we believe that one of the keys to comprehensively improving the quality of mathematics teaching in junior high schools is to effectively grasp the teaching of the starting disciplines. We will only report on our practices and experiences in this regard. The first-generation number and the first-two plane geometry are the two initial disciplines of junior high school mathematics. The quality of the basic knowledge and basic skills of the two disciplines has a direct impact on the learning of all grades in the future, and affects the quality of high school mathematics teaching in an all-round and steady manner.
