Literary works are the art oriented to imagination, so literary translation needs to retain the artistic imagination given to the readers by the original works, and ensure that the readers of the translated works experience a similar aesthetic process. From a pragmatic perspective, the translation strategy of preserving the original intent of the narrator’s language and the implied intent of the portrayal of the characters in the works can help achieve the above goal. The plain language of the original works should not be translated into implied, implicit nor translated into explicit meaning. Such a translation can retain the literary image and pragmatic meaning in the original language so as to be faithful to the original.
