工业工程作为一门学科,已有近一个世纪的历史。有的学者认为它是一门工程技术,有的认为是一门管理技术。我国著名的技术科学专家王大珩教授认为它是工程技术、经济管理科学和人文科学相结合的边缘学科。这些认识从不同侧面、不同的发展阶段上揭示了工业工程的本质属性。工业工程对生产力的提高和经济的发展所起的促进作用,已被世界各国近一百年来的实践所证实。我国不少企业的试验结果也证明,工业工程对于转变企业内部经营机制、挖掘企业内部潜力、提高效率和效益是很实用的技术。尤其是把它同群众性的技术改造和技术革新工作结合起来,常可收到事半功倍的效果,这门技术的最突出特点在于它是通过对现有生产要素的优化和合理组合达到提高效率和效益的目的,创造出“产出”高于“投入”几十倍甚至几百倍的效益。这确确实实是一条内涵式扩大再生产的路子。因此,我们要不失时机地把这项有重要意义的工作抓紧做好。

In particular, combining it with mass technological transformation and technological innovation work, it is often possible to get twice the result with half the effort. The most outstanding feature of this technology is that it is through the optimization and reasonable combination of existing factors of production to improve efficiency and The purpose of the benefit is to create a “output” that is tens or even several hundred times more efficient than “input”. This is indeed an intrinsic way of expanding reproduction. Therefore, we must seize the opportunity to do a good job in this important work.
