近年来科技兴竹，富民强县已成为安吉县各级领导和广大干部林农的共识；笋、竹加工业蓬勃发展，竹产业成为该县经济的支柱产业；竹林生产科技含量增加，竹林产出率大幅度提高；竹子第三产业正在兴办，科技兴竹热潮已形成。但仍存在生产上突破少、骨干龙头企业少、资金投入不足等问题。为使安吉县竹产业在全国处领先水平，还需继续加强对科技兴竹领导，健全科技推广网络，搞好技术引进和重点工程，适用成果的推广，形成社会合力，切实解决投入问题。
