The use of funeral colors reflects different social classifications, of which the symbolic meanings represented by the colors are also different. The use of red and black colors in funeral rituals is influenced by factors such as the Five Elements Culture, ruler preferences and witchcraft culture. The Tujia people in Ziqiu Town, Changyang County used not only black and white but also big red in their funeral rituals. The red color is essential for “Xi Fu ” and “To make the fast ”. In fact, in the current context of China, the meaning of red is more positive, while white and black have both positive and negative meanings.
