It is of great importance to clarify the biological control of the flower thrips by clarifying the aggregated pheromone released by male Frankliniella intonsa. However, up to now, F. occidentalis has not been reported on the identification of aggregated pheromones released from other male thrips and their constituents. In this study, Y-olfactometer was used to determine the olfactory response of the male and female F. occidentalis adults to the odor sources of H. tabaci and F. occidentalis masculine. Solid-phase microextraction SPME) was used to extract the volatiles of F. occidentalis and the volatiles were detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with different chiral columns containing BGB-176SE or CP-chirasil-DexCB2 Isolation and identification. Behavioral test results show that: male flower thrips odor source male and female adults have significant attraction. GC-MS analysis showed that the volatile compounds of F. thrips contained two major compounds, namely (R) -lavandulyl acetate and neryl (S) -2-methylbutanoate, respectively, The same components of pheromone are released. However, the results of quantitative analysis showed that the ratio of (R) -lavandulyl acetate and neryl (S) -2-methylbutanoate was different from that of male flower thrips and western flower thrips. Behavioral tests further proved that the ratio of the two components Differences in the flower thrips and western flower thrips species identification process plays an important role. This study speculated that the aggregated pheromone components released by the insects of the genus Thrips may be the same.
