If you have more than one PC in your office or home, consider organizing a network. Networked computers can share files, printers, and if they come with additional software, they can share modems. It is easy to set up a simple basic network, and we are able to afford this task with the ever-cheaper hardware. Windows 95 and 98 have built-in point-to-point (PC-to-PC) network configuration capabilities that make it easy to set up a small network. If you have many PCs in your company, you need a more sophisticated network operating system such as Windows NT, Novell NetWare, or Linwx. Hardware requirements first and foremost are Network Interface Cards (NICs). The most common is the PCI card, you can also use the ISA card. There are two rates of network cards: 10Mbps and 100Mbps.
