尾砂库中大量矿砂安全存放与复垦是采矿业的一件大事。铜矿矿砂颗粒松散,风干状态时凝聚力c值为零,内摩擦角(?)为14.3°。在风力和径流作用下,极易产生严重的侵蚀,甚至发生危害性极大的水砂流,直至垮库成灾。尾砂库尾砂存放的安全,重在拦砂坝整体稳定和子坝坝坡、坝顶完整。为此,必须从建库初期就开始建设各项生物的、工程的防蚀措施。
