望远镜镜面加工是很费事的,无论是透镜或是反射镜一般应经过开料、粗磨、细磨、抛光及镀膜等工艺。开料是将整块大料切剖成毛坯料。大型光学材料,一般在经过改造的大摇臂钻床有专用掏圆工具进行下料;而中小型毛坯一般用专用下料机下料。粗磨一般在专用铣磨机上用金刚石砂轮进行研磨,大型镜面的粗磨在大型立式车床上进行,只是将刀架改成磨头即可。单件加工磨料一般采用金刚石微粉。细
