二十世纪初出现在英美诗坛上的意象派诗歌运动是对以抑扬格五音步为基础的传统诗学的革新,主张客观直接地描摹所观察到的事物,运用意象形象生动地再现诗人的感官经验,因此意象派诗歌犹如一幅幅由言语构成的画面,具有可视性效果。本文主要根据意象派诗歌的美学三原则,联系意象派诗人阿尔丁顿和休姆对诗歌创作过程中的视觉画面效果的强调,分析了诗歌欣赏过程中几首典型的意象派诗歌里所蕴藏的言语画,从而更好地理解意象派诗歌的精髓。
