Greek poet Cavafy has a famous poem: I sit in meditation, I brought the desire and feeling of art, a glimpse of things. The Greek film giant Angelopoulos's movie, as described by Cavafyos, is a chant between silence and fading. From “Ulysses's gaze” to “Eternal Day,” we vaguely feel a sense of Xiao Shu in Ann's film, a very simple pause after capturing the tragedies of mankind and history. It is worth recalling that both “Ulysses's Stare” and “Eternal Day” have commendable soundtrack from the hand of a Greek woman, Alian Callander. Alianne Callande was born in a mountain village in Greece before going to Paris for ethnomusicology. After returning to Athens, at Ola
