拜伦的《唐璜》采用对史诗的滑稽模仿这一文体样式,对传统史诗的人物形象、主题、叙事方式、语言、风格进行了嘲讽,也通过两个主角的思想、活动全方位抨击了传统世俗道德的虚伪。从伦理结构角度考察,抒情主人公“我”的思想构成外层伦理结构,是诗歌伦理的情感线,“我”的含沙射影、嬉笑怒骂提供读者各种伦理暗示,以获得道德教训;唐璜的活动构成内层伦理结构,是诗歌伦理的行动线,不仅牵引“我”关注的目光,更承担着伦理重建的任务。拜伦通过以唐璜为主的一系列主人公形象宣扬了与社会文明相对立的自然道德,以此传达了他的伦理理想。
