在展览“曾梵志:散步”中,对于不了解这位艺术家的观众,恐怕令其印象最深的作品并非成名作《协和医院》三联画系列,亦非尺幅巨大的《抽象风景》系列,而是作于2009年的《自画像09-8-1》:尤伦斯当代艺术中心(UCCA)的大展厅被6面独立的展墙分隔,每一面展墙的左侧打开一扇正方形的大窗,而6扇窗户的尽头,悬挂着曾梵志本人的自画像。自画像中的曾梵志轻握画笔,似乎正凭借画家的“天才”勾勒身后混沌的风景,而其鲜艳的红袍、锐利的眼神与镇定自若的气质则让周围的一切显得黯然失色。展览空间由日本的明星设计师安藤忠雄设
