自宋孝武帝当位后,南朝民歌逐渐为王公贵人们所接受,其原因在于它满足了王公贵人们纵情声色、猥亵玩赏的心理需求。南朝民歌中大量的对流离之苦的抒咏,是与当时偏安王朝普遍具有的寄寓流离之感相适应的;而大量的表达女子相思相慕的坚贞之情以及男子的负情欺诈的歌曲,则因为在荒淫生活之外进一步满足了王公贵人们对声色的猥亵玩赏心理而被他们接纳。正是这份对女子痛苦的玩赏心态,才是南朝民歌真正影响、开启宫体诗的实质所在
