Japanese architect Fujimoto recently completed the conceptual design of the Belton Beach Waterfront Belgrade project in Belgrade, Serbia. The base is located in Kalemegden Park, on the banks of the Sava River, near the fortress walls. The scheme occupies the entire base and winds all the planes into a huge spiral body weight. The building made of ribbon ramps is called “ Floating clouds ”. The new plaza and outdoor exhibition space are located in the center of the whirlpool’s eye area, with restaurants and café bars under the riverside living roofs and commercial spaces adjacent to the fortress walls for easy access from the street.
