1991-1995年,香港的住宅计划将集中于建造下述三种新方案的廉租屋。由香港房屋署统—规划建设的公共屋村(廉租屋)是专为租给月入低于一定标准的低收入家庭的。这种低收入家庭经申请、排队之后可租得这种住宅,房租极廉。另外,房屋署建造的另一类住宅,叫“屋者有其屋”,其标准比廉租屋高,一般以原造价(比私营房产商者低得多)出售给中、低收入的居民,也须申请,可分期付款。房屋署计划在2001年以前再安排108万多人的居住问题。今次推出的三种设计,有些新的特点:
From 1991 to 1995, Hong Kong’s residential plan will focus on the construction of low-cost housing with the following three new options. The public housing estates (LLPs) that are planned and constructed by the Hong Kong Housing Department are designed to rent low-income families with monthly income below a certain standard.
