教师自主近来是外语教学研究中的一个重点,因为教师自主与学习者自主是息息相关的,有很多研究已经表明,学习者自主受到教师自主的影响极大。本文正是基于这样的背景下,采用深度访谈的方法对民办类高校的大学英语教师自主现状进行了调查研究,结果表明此类大学的大学英语教师在课程自主方面极易受学校环境和教学团体的制约,在促进学习者自主能力和教学反思等方面有待提高,但在处理外部关系方面能力较好,在开展课堂活动和教学自主方面也比较有自己的想法。
Recently, teacher autonomy has been a focus of foreign language teaching research because teacher autonomy is closely related to learner autonomy. Many studies have shown that learner autonomy is greatly influenced by autonomy of teachers. Based on this background, this paper uses a deep interview method to investigate the autonomy of college English teachers in private colleges and universities. The results show that college English teachers in these universities are highly vulnerable to the problems of the school environment and teaching groups However, it still needs to be improved in terms of promoting learner autonomy and teaching reflection, but it also has better ability in dealing with external relations and also has its own ideas in carrying out classroom activities and teaching autonomy.
