中国的观念摄影与西方观念摄影的含义有所不同。西方的观念摄影特指一种摄影流派,而中国的观念摄影不但含括了观念摄影流派本身,也成为中国的前卫摄影或实验摄影的代称。美国的观念摄影流派起源于20世纪60年代,到20世纪70年代已从全盛时期走向衰落。但美国的艺术家已经创造了一个属于他们的时代。美国摄影师曾经是欧洲文化的崇拜者和追随者,从那以后他们不再需要仰视欧洲,他们开始与欧洲的摄影师平起平坐。
Conceptual photography in China differs from western concept photography in some ways. Western concept photography specifically refers to a photographic genre, while China’s concept photography not only includes the concept photography genre itself, but also has become China’s avant-garde photography or experimental photography on behalf of. The American concept photographic genres originated in the 1960s and from the heyday of the 1970s to decline. But American artists have created a time that belongs to them. American photographers used to be worshipers and followers of European culture, and since then they no longer have to look up to Europe, and they start to stand on par with European photographers.
