近几年,关于半导体发光器件的技术已稳固建立。一些分立的器件和简单的数码管已广泛应用于工业和军事上的显示。还正在开展用这种技术制备比较复杂的显示器。特别是制备那种要求可靠性高,寿命长和驱动电压低的显示器。最常用的显示材料是发红光的GaAsP和GaP。前者,由于它既适合于平面工艺而又具有高自吸收系数,因而用不同复杂的光学隔离工序便可制备成单片的,高分辨的显示器,所以已比较广泛地用它来制备复杂的阵列。 引进发黄色和绿色光的Ⅲ—Ⅴ族化合物材料,大大扩展了可用发光二极管显示的范围。
In recent years, technologies for semiconductor light-emitting devices have been firmly established. Some discrete devices and simple digital tube has been widely used in industrial and military displays. This technique is also being used to prepare more complex displays.
