制订公路桥梁车辆荷载设计标准考虑的原则是:既应考虑现有桥上可能出现的车辆组成,又要考虑将来(一定时期内)的发展。我国公路桥梁车辆荷载设计标准,是以桥上实际行驶的车辆组成为主要依据,经过科学抽象后,形成《公路工程技术标准》中的标准车队系列,这个标准车队系列在桥梁中产生的效应(弯矩、剪力等),能够包罗相应荷载等级的桥上可能出现的最重车队产生的效应。因此,它不同于任何一个实际车辆或车队,因为任何一个实际车辆或车队都不可能概括千变万化的桥上实际交通组成情况。诚然,只要对桥梁产生的效应相同,车辆荷载标准的形式不一定就用标准车队来表示。国际上当前采用的标准荷载形式,有标准单车或车队,亦有均布荷载或均布荷载加集中荷载。究竟哪一种标准荷载形式更符
