固原县回民中学建于1984年,是固原县唯一一所全日制寄宿制民族完全中学。建校17年来,学校本着“发展民族教育,为国育才”的宗旨,在“全面贯彻党的教育方针,坚持五育并举,德育为首,教学为中心”思想的指导下,根据客观实际,制定了“立足城市、面向农村、巩固初中、发展高中”的工作思路,以“敬业乐群、自立自强、务实培本、好学深思”为校训,不断探索并加以完善“半封闭式管理”模式,积极营建“富有理想、学有创见、文明礼貌、艰苦奋斗”的良好校风,大力实施“以德治校”战略,全面推进素质教育,狠抓教育教学质量和师资队伍建设,不断扩大办学规模。学校教育教学设施齐全,配备阅览室、实验室、微机室、语音室等。现有教学班29个,拥有教工114人,专职教师104名,其中高级教师14名,一级教师51名;在校学生2088名,回族学生占52％。成为名符其实的培养民族人才的摇篮。
