看表格、写作文是书面表达形式之一。这类作文的特点是，命题者在表格内列出若干个项目，各个项目的要点都用简短的语言说明，要求考生根据表格内容要点写一篇语句通顺连贯的短文。从协作内容上讲，这种形式可适用于不同的文体，如记叙文、应用文、说明文等。
考生要写好此类作文，必须先审清题意，把握准文章的体裁、格式，然后确立内容重点，列出所有要点、涉及的相关词语及句型，最后组织、排列句子，组段，成篇。
例题：假如你在自己的班级就校服问题进行了调查（survey），下面是调查结果的统计表，请参照该表写一篇题目为Report on the Survey about Our School Uniform的报告。
