《都市碎片》是我近期的摄影装置作品。中国都市日前呈现的变化是迅速、明显和丰富的,面对这种变化,我确实没有高兴或失望这一类的感受。然而,变化使我时时有所触动,而且非常强烈。到处矗立的高楼大厦、仍然存在的老街小巷和随处可见的流动的人群……,这在当今中国城市的空间里随处可见。人们努力去发展自己周围的空间,但是空间越扩展,城市越显得拥挤。这一冲突的结果凸现了空间的移动状态——在移动状态中把握都市空间新景象,这是我创作《都市碎片》的基本想法。我并没有亲自去城市的各个角落去拍摄,而是
Urban Shard is my recent photography installation. The recent changes in China’s cities are swift, obvious and rich. In the face of such changes, I really do not feel the same as happy or disappointed. However, the changes have touched me from time to time and are very strong. High-rise buildings everywhere, old streets and lanes and crowds of people everywhere ... and this can be found in the space of today’s Chinese cities. People work hard to develop the space around them, but the more space there is, the more crowded the city is. The result of this conflict highlights the state of spatial mobility - grasping the new landscape of urban space as it moves - the basic idea of my “urban fragmentation”.
