由SMS发展的CVC技术(Continuously Var iable Crown——连续可变凸度)通过使用S—型轧辊,使得辊缝形状能和带材断面进行有效配合,从而使冷轧质量达到一个新水平。它对带材的平直度和断面都能产生有效的影响。同常规轧制比较起来,常规轧制需要几套不同凸度的轧辊,而CVC轧制则仅需要一套轧辊。 CVC技术通过多次运行试验,特别是在Theis公司进行了生产情况下的实验后得到证实,引人注目的是该技术完全可以替代6重机架,并且适用于钢铁和有色金属的冷、热轧机的改造和制造新的冷、热轧机。
